1. Our Editorial Mission

ApnaInsights is a free community blogging platform built to amplify real voices across India and beyond. Our editorial mission is to provide a trusted space where genuine people share genuine stories — covering Technology, Health, Lifestyle, Village Life, Sports, Business, Education, Entertainment, Cooking, Exercise, Social issues, Quotes, and News.

We are committed to maintaining a high standard of content quality, accuracy, and authenticity. Every story published on ApnaInsights must inform, educate, or meaningfully engage readers. We do not publish content that is thin, spammy, misleading, or harmful.

2. Content Quality Standards

All content published on ApnaInsights must meet the following minimum standards:

• Minimum length: Blog posts must be at least 300 words of original, substantive content. We encourage posts of 500+ words for depth and reader value.
• Original writing: Content must be the author's own original work. Copying or closely paraphrasing content from other sources without proper attribution is not permitted.
• Accurate information: Authors are responsible for ensuring that factual claims in their posts are accurate and verifiable.
• Readable formatting: Posts must be clearly structured with a title, body content, and appropriate use of headings, paragraphs, and punctuation.
• Relevant images: Featured images must be relevant to the post topic and must not violate copyright.
• Language: Posts may be written in English or Indian regional languages. Content must be readable and coherent.

3. What We Accept

ApnaInsights welcomes a wide range of content across 14 categories, including:

• Personal stories and lived experiences
• Informational and how-to articles
• Opinion pieces and commentary (clearly labelled as opinion)
• News and current events coverage
• Health and wellness tips (non-medical advice)
• Technology tutorials and reviews

4. Prohibited Content

The following types of content are strictly prohibited on ApnaInsights and will be removed immediately:

• Hate speech: Content that attacks individuals or groups based on religion, caste, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality.
• Misinformation: Deliberately false or misleading factual claims, including health misinformation, fake news, and conspiracy theories.
• Adult content: Sexually explicit or pornographic material.

• Spam: Repetitive, auto-generated, keyword-stuffed, or purely promotional content with no reader value.
• Plagiarism: Copying content from other websites, publications, or authors without express permission and attribution.
• Illegal content: Content that promotes illegal activities, including drug use, fraud, piracy, or defamation.
• Personal attacks: Content that targets private individuals with the intent to harass, threaten, or shame them.
• Child safety violations: Any content that sexualises or endangers minors.
• Malware or phishing: Links or content designed to deceive users or compromise their devices.

5. Review & Moderation Process

ApnaInsights uses a multi-step content review process to maintain quality standards:

• Pre-publication review: All posts submitted by new authors are reviewed by our moderation team before going live. Posts that do not meet our standards are returned to the author with feedback.
• Automated screening: Our system automatically flags posts that fall below minimum length requirements or contain prohibited keywords for manual review.
• Post-publication monitoring: Published content is monitored on an ongoing basis. Content that receives community reports or is flagged by our team is reviewed promptly.
• Admin review: Our admin team has the authority to unpublish, edit, or permanently remove any content that violates our policies at any time.
• Author accountability: Authors who repeatedly violate our policies may have their accounts suspended or permanently banned.

Our goal is not to censor legitimate opinion or expression, but to maintain a platform that is safe, trustworthy, and valuable for all readers.

6. Accuracy & Fact-Checking

ApnaInsights is a community platform — authors are personally responsible for the accuracy of the factual claims in their posts. We do not independently fact-check every article before publication. However, we take the following steps to promote accuracy:

• Authors are required to agree to our Terms of Service, which require that content be accurate and non-misleading.
• Readers can report inaccurate content using our reporting tool on every post.
• Reported content is reviewed within 48 hours. If factual errors are confirmed, we may request corrections or remove the post.
• Opinion articles must be clearly identifiable as opinion and not presented as objective fact.

7. Originality & Plagiarism

All content published on ApnaInsights must be original work authored by the person submitting it. Submitting plagiarised content — including content copied from other websites, books, or publications — is a serious violation of our policies and our Terms of Service.

If you are referencing or quoting another source, you must:

• Clearly attribute the original source
• Quote only short excerpts (not reproduce entire articles)
• Add your own original analysis or commentary alongside the quote

Posts found to contain plagiarised content will be removed immediately. Repeat offenders will have their accounts permanently banned.

8. Corrections Policy

We believe in transparency. If a factual error is identified in a published post, we take the following steps:

• We contact the author and request a correction within 24 hours of the error being confirmed.
• If the author corrects the post, a correction note is added at the bottom of the article noting what was changed and when.
• If the author does not respond within 48 hours, our editorial team may correct the factual error directly.
• For significant errors that affect the meaning or integrity of the post, we may temporarily unpublish the article pending correction.

9. Reporting Violations

ApnaInsights relies on our community to help maintain content quality. If you encounter content that you believe violates our Editorial Policy, please report it immediately.

All reports are reviewed within 48 hours. We take every report seriously and will take appropriate action where a violation is confirmed. Reporters' identities are kept confidential.

10. Editorial Independence & Advertising

ApnaInsights maintains a strict separation between editorial content and advertising. Our editorial decisions — what content is published, featured, or removed — are never influenced by advertisers or sponsors.

• Google AdSense: ApnaInsights displays advertisements via Google AdSense. Ad selection is controlled by Google's algorithms, not by ApnaInsights. Our editorial team has no influence over which ads are shown.
• Sponsored content: Any sponsored or paid-for content is clearly labelled with a "Sponsored" badge and is distinct from organic editorial content.
• No pay-to-publish: Authors cannot pay to have their content prioritised, featured, or approved. All content is evaluated solely on its quality and compliance with our editorial standards.
